Advancing Systemic Solutions​  I’ve championed systemic solutions to the opioid and addiction crisis. Inspired by experience and profound loss, I created SPENCER’s Initiatives: Safe, Person-centered, Evidentiary, Needs-based Care for Effective Recovery. These efforts focus on treatment outcomes, safety standards, and evidence-based practices. Together with collaborators from addiction medicine, state policy, and community leadership, we crafted a concept paper laying the groundwork for legislative and regulatory action at both the state and federal levels. Ryan Hampton, a national recovery advocate and best-selling author, helped bring these ideas to the forefront. We’re determined to improve treatment systems and outcomes for individuals and families facing the devastating challenges of addiction.

Reimagining Recovery: Shepherd’s Hamlet​  I’ve embraced bold, long-term solutions to revolutionize recovery. Shepherd’s Hamlet: An Intentional Sober Sustainable Community is my vision for creating spaces where individuals in recovery can heal, grow, and thrive.​ These intentional communities integrate recovery, vocational training, and a holistic path to resilience and purpose while diversifying funding through sustainable businesses, rather than relying solely on insurance, grants, or government funds. To bring this vision to life, I’m seeking partners and collaborators who share my commitment to transformative change.
